Liwienski played in all 16 games (6 starts) for the Arizona Cardinals last season.  He has nine seasons of experience in the NFL and he has played in 110 games (80 starts).  The 6′5″, 321 pounder will battle for a starting job at guard for the Dolphins in 2007.

The Miami Dolphins sign WR Az-Zahir Hakim

Look for WR Hakim to attempt to replace the departed Wes Welker as the #3 WR for the Dolphins.  Hakim played in 6 games last season for the San Diego Chargers and he caught 17 passes for 147 yards (8.6 avg).  Look for him to prove he still has something left in the tank in Training Camp and to be a contributor to the offense.

The Dolphins have signed fullback Cory Schlesinger to block for Ronnie Brown next season.  Schlesinger played in 14 games for the Detroit Lions last season (5 starts) and he caught 8 passes for 36 (4.5 avg).  Look for the Dolphins running game to be vastly improved this season.

The Dolphins re-sign DT Kevin Vickerson

The Dolphins have re-signed DT Kevin Vickerson and allocated him to NFL Europa.  Vickerson has been on the Dolphins for two seasons but he hasn’t played a down yet in his NFL career.  He will really have to show improvement this season or he’ll have to find another line of work.

The Dolphins re-sign Keith Traylor to a 2 year contract

The Dolphins have re-signed 37 year old Keith Traylor because the old man proved he still had some game left last season.  He played in 14 games for the Dolphins last year and he made 35 tackles, had 4 sacks, defensed 2 passes and forced a fumble.  This was a good move for the Dolphins.
